Energy use of biomass
Musilová, Petra ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The objective of this bachelor’s thesis is a research study of biomass use in energy industry with main focus on electric energy production. This thesis primarily concerns with biomass properties, biomass processing technologies and the application of such technologies in the Czech Republic. The first part of this work consists of biomass definition and its division. The next part deals with biomass energetic properties and following is a familiarization with cogeneration (the combined use of heat and power to create electricity). Furthermore this thesis analyses individual technologies used in electricity production. The last part focuses on heating plants, power stations and biogas plants, which use biomass and on charting these specific units in the Czech Republic.
Energy use of biomass
Bouchner, Michal ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is research of technologies for energy usage of biomass with concentration to production of electricity. In the first part of thesis are analyzed and described technologies producting electricity. In the second part are described suitable types of biomass for each aplication. Following part deals with used aplications for production of electricity in the Czech Republic. Last part shows specific technologies used in the Czech Republic.
Utilization of Heat in Biodegradation Processes as Electricity Savings Potential
Kuběna, Michael ; Šejvl, Radovan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The present thesis deals with a non-traditional use of biomass–in particular the use of heat generated by the biodegradation processes, involving the degradation of organic substances. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses common uses of biomass in general first, later focusing on the description of biodegradation processes. Various types of bioreactors, in which biodegradation processes take place, are also briefly examined. Moreover, modern systems using this type of heating are described. The practical part focuses on the construction of a bioreactor with the system of heat dissipation. The bioreactor was monitored with temperature sensors to survey the ongoing processes inside the bioreactor and to determine the appropriate time to abstract the heat.
Less usual technologies of biomass utilization
Červenáková, Jana ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to elaborate less usual technologies of biomass utilization. In the first part of thesis are individual technologies described and divided. The second part of the bachelor thesis describes the concept of biomass and its specific featuress. The last part describes selected applications of less traditional technologies in the Czech Republic which produce electric power by using biomass fuel.
Membrane Separation of Biogas
Dedinský, Tomáš ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The thesis handles the problem of biogas purification by membrane separation method, and its application on existing biogas plants. Assessing of impacts of this implementation is carried out from technical and economical point of view.
Energy use of biomass
Ošťádal, Michal ; Elbl, Patrik (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to search for technologies for biomass conversion with subsequent energy utilization. At the beginning of the work is analyzed the nature of biomass as an energy source. The next part deals with individual technologies. The following section deals with combustion and biogas chains. The penultimate chapter deals with chosen energy sources. The last chapter is statistical processing of emissions, mining, electricity and heat production from renewable sources and biomass.
Biogas utilization
Trnka, Daniel ; Jedlička, Filip (referee) ; Dvořák, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the use of biogas. It describes biogas from its creation through technology for its production and its final use. Then it generally describes the biogas plants in order to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of biogas production in its current state. The conclusion refers specifically to BGS farm Farma Stonava.
Possibilities of utilization of nitrogen compounds from liquid suspensions generated in waste management
Vajdíková, Tereza ; Mergl, Václav (referee) ; Kalivoda, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with the removal of ammoniacal nitrogen from biogas plant waste to produce a new usable product. In the theoretical part of the thesis, attention is paid to waste management from the perspective of biogas plants, the problem of nitrogen, and its removal. The thesis contains, among other things, theoretical calculations that include distribution and precipitation curves. The practical part deals with the correctness of these curves, as well as the precipitation of ammonium ions to form ammonium magnesium phosphate and stripping. The practical part includes quantitative and qualitative analyses of the individual components involved in precipitation. Nitrogen removal was performed on the model and real samples.
Ekonomické hodnocení provozu bioplynové stanice a její potenciální transformace k produkci biometanu
Lukašík, Jáchym
This work deals with the principles of biogas and biomethane extraction and the methods of their subsequent energy use in legislative conditions of the Czech Republic and explains the support systems of this resource, also in the conditions of other EU member states, with a more detailed focus on the situation in Germany. Subsequently, the real agricultural biogas plant is economically evaluated from the data on operation in previous years using static indicators, from which the future management is then predicted on the basis of revealed trends, using dynamic methods. The production of the analyzed biogas plant is then transferred to the operating aid environment in Germany and compared in key years. In the next part, investment financing strategies are modeled for biomethane cleaning equipment for use in transport, as bioCNG fuel, which recommend an adequate level of operating aid prices acceptable for the analyzed biogas plant. The results of the work help to assess the further probable development of the industry and determine the production limitations of the evaluated operator, which should be taken into account in the next stages of the development of operational aid strategies in the context of the maintenance of the production of such operations.
Ekonomický model bioplynové stanice
Bojanovský, Jiří
This thesis deals with the economics of biogas plants. The main aim is to analyze an investment into a thickening facility. The facility uses waste heat to thicken the digestate (a liquid product of biogas plants) in order to decrease the transport costs. For the analysis, the economic model of the biogas plant is created. The model is used for the analysis of investment for two real biogas plants operated in the Czech Republic. Further 18 virtual biogas plants are created in order to analyze the whole Czech biogas plants network. It was revealed the investment into two real plants from an economic point of view does not make sense. How-ever, the analysis of 18 virtual plants revealed, there are several cases, when the investment into the thickening facility make sense. These plants have to transport digestate to long distance and therefore they have high transport costs.
